I am the digital archives librarian at FIU where we work on various projects related to our IR, our digital repository, and our new Digital Scholar's Lab. I am responsible for the processing and publishing of all university ETDs, as well as many other projects involving metadata and preservation. I have masters degrees in music, religious studies, and library and information science. Examples of projects include creating a geo-enabled collection with the city of Coral Gables, http://maps.fiu.edu/cgm/; Metadata and quality control on all collections held in the dpanther repository, http://dpanther.fiu.edu/; Processing, publishing, and preserving all university ETD's, http://digitalcommons.fiu.edu/; and serving as liaison to various community partners and internal library departments, teaching metadata, offering workshops, and working one-on-one with individuals.
